Installing Tv set SDK

This topic describes how to install the Samsung Tv set SDK.

The Samsung Idiot box SDK is a set of tools for developing applications for Samsung Idiot box, using Tizen. It consists of the following components:

Tizen Studio IDE
TV Simulator
Television set Emulator
Web Inspector

To piece of work with the Samsung Telly SDK, you must install:

Tizen Studio IDE
Samsung Television set Extensions
Samsung Document Extension

Prerequisites

Earlier installing the Samsung TV SDK, make certain that your development computer fulfills the hardware and software requirements.

Installing Tizen Studio

To install the Tizen Studio IDE:

Download and run the [Tizen Studio] installer.
Accept the software license.
The license contains important legal notices for using the Tizen Studio. Read it in full, and click "Accept" but if you lot concord with the license argument.

Prepare the SDK and information location.
The Tizen Studio and its data directory are installed in the location specified in the "Installation Settings" step. To change the directory, click the "..." button and specify a new directory. If the new directory is valid (no errors are shown), click "Install".

Wait while the Tizen Studio is installed.
In one case you click Install, the installer installs the required packages and tools in the specified directory. Y'all tin can monitor the installation procedure or cancel the installation. The installation process is completed in a few minutes, unless you cancel it.
Install boosted tools.
Later the installation is finished, launch the Parcel Manager by checking the "Launch the Package Manager" check box earlier clicking "Finish".

The Package Manager launches. If the Bundle Director does not launch, run "<install path>/bundle-manager/package-manager.exe".

Installing Required Extensions

You tin can install the required extensions using the online repository. If your firewall settings practice not let you to access the repository, you lot can likewise install the extensions from local images.

To install the extensions using the online repository:

In the Package Managing director, select the "Extension SDK" tab.

Click "install" next to "Television Extensions-<version>" and "Samsung Certificate Extension".

Have the software licenses.
The licenses contain important legal notices. Read them in full, and click "Accept All" only if yous concur with the license statements.
Await while the extensions are installed.

To install the extensions from local images:

Download the following images:
- Samsung Tv Extensions
- Samsung Certificate Extension (straight download)
In the Package Director, click "Configuration".

Unfold the Extension SDK configuration panel past clicking "Extension SDK" at the bottom of the dialog box.

To add a local image, click "+".

The "Add together Repository" dialog opens.
Enter values to the "Name" and "Repository" fields.
Enter the full path of the SDK image file in the "Repository" box, or click "..." adjacent to the field to open the file browser and select the image file.
Click "OK" to close the "Add Repository" dialog.

When you select the paradigm file in the repository list, the epitome's origin information is displayed.
Click "OK" to confirm.

Select the "Extension SDK" tab.
Click "Install" next to the added extensions.
Accept the software licenses.
The licenses contain of import legal notices. Read them in total, and click "Accept" only if you hold with the license statements.
Await while the extensions are installed.
